Belarus President signs decree on improving auditing practices

The State Control Committee of Belarus switches to new rules of business audit. The day before the President signed a relevant decree. It will become part of a large package of documents on business liberalization. Pre-planned inspections are canceled as of January 1, and the list of grounds for such inspections is significantly reduced. The inspectors will be able to target a certain business only if they have specific facts pointing to violations. In a year, audits will be authorized in presence of high risks of non-compliance with the law on the part of the entrepreneur. The information will be freely available at the website of the State Control Committee. Orders on suspension a company's business activities will now be issued only by courts.
