Belarus plans to revise criteria for small and medium businesses

An international entrepreneurship forum is being held today in Minsk. It brings together newcomers and experienced businessmen, government officials and international experts. The focus is on private sector support, including financing. Belarus plans to modernize this mechanism and improve the operation of business incubators. There are plans to revise the criteria for classifying a business as small or medium. It was noted that the structure of the Belarusian economy is gradually changing. For example, 25 percent of companies working in the industry segment are private. Over the past 13 years, their share has almost tripled.
