A turkey meat farm was launched in Lida district of Belarus. It is a joint Belarusian-Lithuanian investment projects. The investments totaled EUR 30 million. The birds themselves will be of European stock. The genetic material comes from laboratories in Germany and Poland, while the fodder is of Belarusian origin. According to the forecast of experts, the Lida poultry farm will not only cater for the domestic market, but will also become a notable exporter. Belarusian turkey meat will be delivered to European Union and the Customs Union countries.
