Belarus will get under control the prices for medicines. The presidential decree introduces mandatory registration of the maximum selling prices for medicines set by producers. At the beginning of the year, inspecting the pharmaceutical market, the head of state noted: the prices should be adequate and not overestimated. To do this, it is needed to actively work with manufacturers and suppliers, limiting the participation of intermediaries as much as possible. Today, the cost of medicines in pharmacies is regulated only by the number of allowances. The new rules will be first applied only to two groups of drugs meant for the treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
