Belarus in Top Four world exporters of cheese and cottage cheese

Belarus is among the top four world exporters of cheese and cottage cheese. In Q1 2019, Belarusian manufacturers supplied foreign consumers with almost 60 thousand tons of products - this is 11 thousand tons more than during the same period last year. Belarus is ahead of Australia, Iran and Switzerland. The European Union tops the rating: its cheese exports totaled 262 thousand tons. It is followed by the United States with 99 thousand tons, the third from New Zealand - almost 90 thousand tons. Russia remains the main importer of Belarusian cheese and cottage cheese.
