Belarus’ Ministry of Antitrust Regulation and Trade is to impose a moratorium on trade inspections starting today. The agency will be operating in this mode until the President’s decree on control and supervision activities is introduced. The main thing for the trade inspection authority is a refusal from duplicating the functions of related supervisory services. The antimonopoly body will be closely involved in developing competition on the market, i.e. controlling deficit, preventing price collusion, ensuring equal access of domestic products from all regions to trading networks and regulating state procurement.
