Belarus and Russia"s Novgorod region will create food clusters, as announced at a seminar of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Veliky Novgorod.<br>Last year, trade turnover between Belarus and the Russian region amounted to more than 100 million dollars. Veliky Novgorod is home to the Lactis company, one of its focus areas being the production of lactoferrin - one of the components of the human immune system that can fight cancer. This is a joint project of Belarusian and Russian scientists.
