On April 2 the House of Representatives of the Belarusian parliament opened its spring session. The MPs are considering budgetary and monetary policy bills. According to Prime Minister Sergei Rumas, Belarus will earmark about Br110 million to boost the domestic economy menaced by the coronavirus. The proposed measures are aimed at supporting entire economic sectors that employ 550,000 people. The government already has a vision of the second package. The package will focus on supporting the production sector and the civil engineering industry. As for oil supplies, in April Belarus expects to receive two million tonnes of Russian oil at about $4 per barrel.
