Belarus elected UNECE Vice-Chair

Belarus was unanimously elected to the post of Vice-Chair of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and joined the Bureau of the Executive Committee of the ECE central intergovernmental governing body. Latvia (Chair) and Switzerland (Vice-Chair) have also been elected to the Bureau of the Executive Committee. The objective of this body is to promote economic cooperation across Europe. 56 European and North American countries are members of the organizations.
