Belarus consolidates efforts with EBRD to combat pandemic consequences

Belarus is interested in joining efforts with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the fight against the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. The day before, Prime Minister of Belarus held a video conference with the head of this international financial organization. According to Sergei Rumas, the Belarusian government has prepared appropriate response measures, which, in particular, are designed to strengthen healthcare system and social protection, as well as support the real sector of the economy. The Prime Minister emphasized that these measures will require considerable financial support, and Minsk is grateful for and interested in the assistance that the European Bank is ready to provide. By the way, in 2019, the EBRD invested more than 390 million euros in 24 projects in the private and public sectors of Belarus.
