Belarus’ budget bill 2019, Belarus’ new Tax Code passed second reading

The Belarusian MPs gave the second reading to the bill on the next year's central state budget and Belarus’ new Tax Code. In 2019 the budget will retain its social focus. A significant portion of the budget will be spent to finance wages, pensions, scholarships, and grants. The priority areas for financing are healthcare, education, residential construction for large families. Belarus’ new Tax Code provides for simpler tax administration and different approaches to calculating penalties. Apart from that, natural persons will be able to contact any branch of the Tax and Duties Ministry regardless of their registered residential address. The Tax Code has been adjusted bearing in mind instructions of the head of state.
