There are good prospects for increasing the trade turnover of Belarus with Russia’s Rostov Region to $500 million, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the meeting with Governor of Russia’s Rostov Region Vasily Golubev. Alexander Lukashenko remarked that Rostov Region is one of the largest agricultural regions in Russia. Therefore, the sides should promote agriculture as a very promising field. Belarus has certain practical experience in animal husbandry, crop farming, cultivation of grain, vegetables. The country also uses the best global practices in the construction and reorganization of farms into dairy complexes. The president mentioned a positive dynamics in trade between Belarus and Rostov Region. “In 2016, the trade turnover went up almost 20% and reached $340 million,” the head of state said.
