Belarus and Egypt are stepping up their cooperation. Co-chairman of the Business Council of our countries Ahmed Kelani is in Minsk this week. A number of promising projects are being discussed, including partnerships in pharmaceuticals and waste disposal. Due to the epidemic situation and the closure of borders, there are fewer bilateral contacts. However, cooperation is developing in many areas. Thus, MTZ is working on setting up an assembly plant for tractors in Egypt. It is planned that it will launch operations in Cairo in a year. Jointly produced Belarusian-Egyptian equipment will be sold across the African continent.
