Prospects for development of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations were discussed today in the Palace of Independence by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Gasanov. The conversation on bilateral cooperation went well beyond the military-technical sphere. The positions of Belarus and Azerbaijan coincide in many respects. Over the past 10 years, the total commodity turnover has grown. The Belarusian economy attracted investments of almost $7.5 million. The Defense Minister of Azerbaijan will visit the enterprises of the military-industrial complex. During the meetings, prospects for the development and expansion of bilateral cooperation in the military-technical sphere and in the field of military education will be discussed as well as security issues and other topics of mutual interest.
