Cooperation in the banking sector was discussed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and "Sberbank" Chairman German Gref. New projects, including the creation of digital ecosystems and providing new services to customers were in the center of attention. Sberbank occupies the first place among the financial institutions in Central and Eastern Europe according to the rating "TOP-thousand banks in the world." Its subsidiary "BPS-Sberbank" operates in Belarus. The share of Russian companies in the banking system assets exceeds 12 percent. 1 out of every 5 loans is issued by BPS-Sberbank to legal entities of Belarus.
