Agriculture and Food Ministry: no grain and food deficit in Belarus

The grain and food deficit will not occur in connection with this season’s drought, Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Leonid Zayats said. Despite the fact that the amount of grain is lower than the last year’s (5 million 200 thousand tons), the state order will be completely fulfilled. Grain shortage is compensated with corn. The harvesting campaign is now at the final stage. After cutting the grain, the agrarians will start harvesting cereals: buckwheat and millet.
