€5 million to be invested into development of border infrastructure in Belarus in 2018

The annual transit of goods through Belarus can reach a record high of 60 million tons. 8 projects worth 15 million euros will be completed by 2021 within the framework of international technical assistance. The money will go into the development of the border infrastructure, first of all the purchase of X-ray scanning devices. The video surveillance system is being improved. Every seventh customs declaration in Belarus is issued automatically. And it takes an average of two minutes. Over the first half of the year more than forty thousand export declarations were issued thanks to modern digital systems. This ensures effectiveness of business and the country's economy as a whole. By the way, the possibility of automatic clearance of goods has been included into the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union on the initiative of Belarus.
