A series of book illustration made for past editions of "Zavalnia the Nobleman" by Yan Barshchevsky, "Ivanhoe" by Walter Scott and a number of fairy tales and stories will be presented on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the honored art worker. A student of Vasili Sharangovich, he created classic images of pagan deities, brownies and mermaids, familiar to more than one generation of Belarusians. The graphics by the winner of the special award of the President was also used for the two-volume encyclopedia "Belarusian Folklore". Valery Slauk's works also exist outside of texts, in popular instant messengers. The sticker pack "Belarusian Myths" based on the mystical images by the master was downloaded more than 10 thousand times in just a week after the release.
