"My native nook". Exhibition of works by Nadezhda Baranovets hosted by V. Sadin Art Gallery in Slutsk

Artist Nadezhda Baranovets dedicated more than 60 works to her mother and her small homeland. Self-portraits, portraits of family members, fellow villagers, her students, as well as landscapes with her native village and subject compositions have been created over more than 60 years in the techniques of painting and graphics. The exhibition "My native nook" is hosted by the art gallery of the Slutsk Museum of Local Lore. Nadezhda Baranovets is a representative of Soviet realism in painting. She works in book illustration, easel graphics, monumental and decorative art. Her calling card is the portrait of Nikolai Gusovsky, known to every school student. Among the monumental and decorative works by Nadezhda Baranovets are stained-glass windows that adorn the buildings in Brest and Baranovichi, including the railway station, a pharmacy and other iconic places across the city.
