The 28th "Listapad" Minsk International Film Festival will be launched exactly one month from now. This year it has brought together a record-high number of participants with more than 1100 entries from 89 countries. There are 9 Belarusian films among the entries. A special international jury was set up to judge the films in each of the 4 categories. This year the animated films competition is held for the first time. The best of the selected works and their producers will be awarded prizes and diplomas including two special prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The films screened within the framework of the festival will be available for the wide audience; they will be screened not only in the capital city but also across many Belarusian regions. The festival begins on November 4 and will last a week.
