Festival "Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi"

The festival started at the Opera and Ballet Theater for the 8th time. It was opened with the "Pygmalion Effect" – a production of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theatre. The St. Petersburg troupe brought ballroom-street ballet to Minsk for the first time. Without the usual ballet skirts and leggings, the ballerinas went down "from the fingers" to the heel. Such an experiment from the People's Artist of Russia broke a standing ovation in Moscow and St. Petersburg. "The Pygmalion Effect" will be shown as an encore at the Bolshoi today. And before Sunday, Russian primas will appear in Belarusian premieres. So, the performers of the main roles will change in Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Stars of the world ballet will also dance in the gala concert. The festival will end on Sunday.
