World Summit on humanitarian affairs opens in Istanbul

World Summit on humanitarian affairs opens in Istanbul. The UN, for the first time in its history, has organized such a forum due to the increasing number of conflicts and natural disasters. The forum will decide how to help 125 million people who suffer from them.It is planned to consider the observance of the laws of war, providing aid to the needy, strengthening of humanitarian actions. International community will reaffirm its commitment to the principles of humanity, unity and cooperation, without which it is impossible to prevent crises, to find a way out of them and to save people from suffering.The summit will feature 6000 participants from 80 countries. Belarusian delegation is headed by Consul General in Istanbul Igor Bely.
