4.49% of voters cast their ballots on first day of Belarus' early presidential election voting

Early presidential election voting continues in Belarus. According to the Central Election Commission, about 4.5% of voters cast their ballots on the first early voting day. The process is being monitored both by national and international observers. The number of the latter is about 38,000 people.
A total of over 6,000 polling stations are working across Belarus and abroad. In Russia, for instance, polling stations are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Rostov-on-Don. On the main voting day a polling station will be set up at the Belarus health resort in Sochi.
