House of Representatives to consider programme of Government activities for 2016-2020 at spring session
17.02.2016
A programme of Government activities for 2016-2020 submitted to the House of Representatives gives strategic priority to restoring balanced economic growth. The programme outlines the three basic economic policy conditions: ensuring macroeconomic balance, increasing foreign exchange reserves to a safe level and gradual external debt payments. Also, the Government will work on reducing costs in the energy and utility sectors and increasing targeted social assistance. Priority is also given to creating jobs and providing support to small and medium-sized businesses. As for the system of state administration and regional policy, the main tasks are reducing the duplication of functions of ministries and departments; separating the powers of the owner and regulator and motivating civil servants.
