Minsk hosts meeting of Council of permanent representatives of CIS countries

Joint counter-terrorism activities are a priority for the CIS this year. This was stated by Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee at the meeting of permanent representatives. Sergei Lebedev says, the threat of international terrorism is still quite high in the world. Joint meetings of heads of special services and law enforcement agencies of the CIS are planned. In addition, the Commonwealth hopes for peaceful resolution of the situation inUkraine. The head of the Executive Committee expresses the common desire thatUkraineremains a party to the CIS.
Kyrgyzstanhas adopted chairmanship in the Commonwealth. The republic has already prepared about 40 activities for the coming year.
