V.Makei: Issue of ensuring peace and security on agenda of mankind

Belarus advocates for the speedy creation of a declaration on the non-deployment of medium and shorter-range missiles in Europe. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei at a general discussion of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly. Minsk sees the key element of the document as countries' firm obligations to not deploy medium- and shorter-range missiles on their territory and to refuse to produce them. In addition, Minsk calls on the countries of the United Nations to take measures to ensure international information security, it is necessary to expand interstate digital cooperation.
