V. Makei announces lifting of restrictions on number of employees of US Embassy in Belarus

The US Embassy in Minsk will be able to increase its staff. The removal of restrictions on the number of employees was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, at a meeting with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, George Kent. The Foreign Ministry of Belarus expressed the hope that this step will contribute to the “normalization of relations” between the countries. The parties also exchanged views on topical issues on the international agenda.
