Trilateral contact group meeting to be held in Minsk

Today Minsk is to host the next round of negotiations of the contact group on the situation in the east of Ukraine. Three working subgroups began their work the day before. Since July 1 the so-called harvest truce is in effect in Donbass. At the meeting on July 25, representatives of the contact group noted with satisfaction a decrease in the intensity of the shelling, as well as the reduction in the number of casualties at the contact line. Security will probably become one of the main issues at the meeting again. Ahead of the new academic year, the parties are likely to try to agree on the entry into force of the silence regime.
