Today marks 30 years of diplomatic relations between Belarus and China

An important date in the history of bilateral cooperation. Diplomatic relations between Belarus and China turn 30 today. The leaders of the states exchanged congratulations. President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, in particular, noted that over a short period of time by historical standards, the countries have progressed from bilateral interaction to trusting all-round strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation. Minsk and Beijing are consistently expanding their interstate dialogue, coordinating goals and objectives on global and regional agendas, including within the framework of the UN, the SCO, the EAEU, the implementation of the One Belt, One Road initiative, in building a community with a common destiny for mankind, and in many other directions. In his congratulations, Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the countries have been helping and supporting each other, overcoming difficulties hand in hand, demonstrating brotherhood with a common destiny. Over the past years, the leaders of the two countries have maintained communication in various ways and reached important agreements to develop China-Belarus relations in the new conditions.
