The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus made a statement regarding the situation around Cuba
05.02.2026
"The Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Belarus is monitoring with concern the situation
around Cuba and the supply of energy resources to the country. The threat of
the current escalation in the Caribbean basin evolving into a severe
humanitarian crisis with unpredictable consequences is of particular concern",
the document states. Minsk consistently insists on the unacceptability of
unilateral coercive measures that create obstacles to trade relations between
states, hinder the process of comprehensive socio-economic development and
impede the well-being of the population. The document expresses a firm
conviction that all disputes must be resolved through peaceful dialogue and
within the framework of international law
