The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Ethiopia confirmed the two countries' desire to expand cooperation
Maxim Ryzhenkov and his colleague Gedion Timotheos expressed mutual interest in increasing mutual trade and cooperation in the field of food security, expanding humanitarian and cultural ties. The parties agreed to launch joint projects in the fields of mechanization of the Ethiopian agricultural sector using Belarusian machinery and technologies, training personnel for its maintenance and training specialists in Belarus. Issues of technology transfer in agriculture and the development of the legal framework were also touched upon. A schedule of bilateral events between the two countries was also agreed upon until the end of the year. The meeting participants confirmed the desire of Minsk and Addis Ababa to deepen political dialogue, as well as further cooperation and mutual support within the framework of the United Nations, BRICS and other multilateral platforms.
