The main election campaign officially started in Belarus
The Central Election Commission of Belarus has approved the calendar plan of organizational measures for the preparation and holding of the presidential election. Initiative groups, each of which includes at least 100 people, will be able to nominate candidates. Applications for registration of groups should be submitted no later than 1 November 2024. Both national and international observers will be able to monitor the elections. National observers should be accredited by 20 January 2025. The election campaign in Belarus has already started. 153 territorial commissions and more than five thousand precinct commissions will be formed. The main day of presidential elections in Belarus is 26 January 2025. Early voting will start on 21 January.
