The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Zimbabwe have agreed to strengthen cooperation

A cooperation agreement was signed following a meeting between Igor Sergeyenko, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Jacob Mudenda, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zimbabwe. Igor Sergeyenko noted that interparliamentary friendship groups will play a leading role in implementing the agreement. A cooperation group with the Parliament of Zimbabwe has been formed in the National Assembly. Belarus expects the formation of a similar group in the Parliament of Zimbabwe. During the meeting the parties also exchanged views on the further development of parliamentary contacts and other areas of cooperation between the two countries.
