The EAEU needs to move from removing barriers to jointly creating technologies and products

This position was voiced by Belarus representatives at the Intergovernmental Council in Nur-Sultan. Today the meeting is held in a broad format. The partners have an understanding that the external pressure will continue to grow. An effective tool to counter sanctions is to ensure one's own economic independence in technologies and goods. Now it is necessary to implement new union projects and reduce dependence on imports from abroad. Despite the difficult past year, internal trade in the EAEU grew by more than a third, and external trade by 60%. The volume of mutual trade reached $72 billion.
