The Consulate General of Belarus opened in Almaty

The
second day of the Foreign Minister's official visit to Kazakhstan was spent in
Almaty. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the opening of the
Belarusian Consulate General. Maxim Ryzhenkov noted that this is an important
step in expanding Belarus' diplomatic presence in Central Asia. The mission's
work will give new impulse to the development of cooperation between the
regions of Belarus and Kazakhstan. Furthermore, as part of the visit, a stock
exchange forum was organized. It was attended by over 50 representatives of
Kazakhstan' businesses. The parties signed a number of commercial agreements for the
supply of Belarusian products.
