The CIS observer mission for the presidential election in Belarus monitors the formation of precinct commissions
The CIS observer mission to the election in Belarus continues monitoring. Long-term CIS observers attended the meetings of the administrations of Oktyabrsky and Leninsky districts of Minsk on the formation of precinct election commissions. In total, there will be more than 5.000 of them. The experience of citizens in organising and conducting elections, knowledge of electoral legislation and skills of working with people were taken into account. The main tasks of the members of precinct commissions are to maintain voter lists, organise voting, count ballots and summarise the results at the precinct. Mission members noted the good organisation and openness of the process. There were no comments from observers on the formation of commissions.
