Belarus is interested in expanding cooperation with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean both in the political arena and in the economy. On the margins of the PARLATINO Assembly, Belarus held a number of bilateral meetings of different levels with partners from Colombia, Uruguay, Morocco, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Panama. Among the most promising areas are pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food supplies, industrial cooperation, tourism, science and education. Belarus holds leading positions in the world in the production of quarry and agricultural machinery, dairy products and potash fertilizers. The country is ready to contribute to food security in Latin America and the Caribbean.
