The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will retain the right to respond to the blocking of YouTube channels
06.04.2026
The video hosting service's administration removed the YouTube channels of Belarusian state media outlets: Belta, ONT, and STV. Belarus condemned this unfriendly move by the video platform, considering it unfounded, and reserves the right to take appropriate measures. For its part, the Belarusian Union of Journalists called on government agencies to protect the rights of media workers. "The Belarusian side is thoroughly examining all the circumstances of the incident. We reserve the right to respond accordingly, using all available means within the framework of our national legislation and international law", the MFA's press service quoted the official statement as saying.
