Submission of nominations going on in Belarus
25.09.2019
Submission of candidate nominations is in full swing in Belarus. Action groups use both pickets in the streets and door-to-door visits of the citizens who have voting rights. The campaigning in the streets is held in the most productive time: end of the working day. The people have enough time to scrutinize the candidate's biography or ask questions. The parliamentarian candidates have to collect a thousand signatures and submit their documents to the Central election commission before October, 7. The elections to the Council of the Republic are scheduled for November, 7; to the House of Representatives – for November, 17.
