St. Petersburg hosts the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States
Hundreds of parliamentarians from Commonwealth countries will gather at the Tauride Palace. These countries are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The main goal of the Interparliamentary Assembly is to discuss cooperation between Commonwealth countries in the economic, political, social, and cultural spheres. The delegates will assess how the laws adopted by the parliaments of the CIS countries are working in practice. The key event is the meeting of the Council IPA CIS. It will be attended by the heads of the parliamentary delegations of the CIS countries and experts. The Council will summarize the results of its work in 2025, discuss the work plan for the next three years, and review the results of monitoring the election campaigns in the CIS countries.
