CIS Defence Ministers Council to consider joint air defence system development

CIS Defence Ministers are considering over 20 issues relating to various aspects of military cooperation in Moscow today. The meeting is planned to sum up the implementation of the current military cooperation concept and draw up a joint work plan for the next year. Following the meeting, decisions will be made on the development of a joint air defence system, communications systems, military personnel training and other issues.The Defence Ministers are expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings to discuss cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres, as well as to approve cooperation plans between the defence agencies for the next year.
