Belarus" President Alexander Lukashenko has sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of CIS countries on the 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States. According to the President, the creation of the CIS was the starting point for integration processes in the post-Soviet space. Within a quarter-century the CIS has formed as a regional community taking into account the interests of all parties. Besides, Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that this year"s adoption of a conceptual decision to adapt the CIS to present-day circumstances had outlined further ways for its development. The Belarusian leader is convinced that this event will strengthen the authority of the CIS, making it a more relevant union.
