President pays working trip to Gomel region

Today regular movement of trains on electric traction was launched in Gomel. The ceremony was attended by President Alexander Lukashenko. The Head of State was informed about electrification of the railway section Osipovichi - Gomel and completion of the electrification of the railway Minsk - Gomel. This will allow reducing the cost of transportation by nearly 20 percent. The President got acquainted with the new trains produced by Stadler and electric locomotives BKG-2 produced in China. Alexander Lukashenko communicated with the employees and veterans of the Belarusian railway, as well as with students of transport universities.
