President of Belarus praises role of Lithuanian Ambassador in approximation of Belarusian-Lithuanian relations

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko highly appreciates the role of the Lithuanian Ambassador in approximation of the Belarusian-Lithuanian relations. The Head of State stated this at the meeting with Evaldas Ignatavicius on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission. The diplomat headed the embassy in Minsk for three years. Lithuania is among the ten leading partners of Belarus in trade. Last year the trade turnover exceeded one billion dollars. A number of investment projects are implemented in our country with participation of the Lithuanian capital.
The political dialogue at the highest level serves as the basis for economic contacts. In 2009 Alexander Lukashenko visited Lithuania. A year later, Dalia Grybauskaite visited Minsk.
