President Alexander Lukashenko plans to visit Pakistan in October

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is planning to visit Pakistan in October to hold talks with Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif. This has been discussed at today"s meeting between the Belarusian leader and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi.Belarus and Pakistan have reached a high level of political interaction, 2014-2015 seeing the mutual opening of embassies. The legal base of bilateral relations was expanded last year with 58 documents, including a bilateral cooperation roadmap for the next five-year period. As of 2015, the volume of Belarus - Pakistan trade turnover exceeded 56 million dollars.
