Presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for 26 January, 2025

Such a decision was taken at a session of the House of Representatives. The head of the Central Election Commission, Igor Karpenko, said that the Central Election Commission was ready to start the election campaign. Recall, according to the legislation, the presidential election should be held no later than 20 July, 2025. The basic law does not prohibit holding them earlier. According to the CEC, 26 January, 2025 is the optimal date for the presidential election in Belarus. As emphasized at the meeting by Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko, the presidential election will determine the future of Belarus in the coming years.
