Prospects for cooperation with Iran discussed in Council of Ministers

Belarus hopes to increase cooperation with Iran and attract Iranian investments. It was stated by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov at the meeting with Iranian Minister of Industry Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh. At present, the volume of bilateral trade is small, last year it was about $ 70 million. And it does not correspond to the existing potential. Belarus sees Iran as a reliable partner and an influential state in international relations. Today 9 investment projects worth $ 700 million are implemented in Belarus. Belarus is ready to increase exports to the Iranian market. It is planned to increase the supply of Belarusian machines with a view to the creation of assembly production in Iran.
