Participation of the Belarusian delegation in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly

The high-level week of the UN
General Assembly opens today in New York. A delegation from our country led by Foreign
Minister Sergei Aleinik will also take part in it. Representatives of Belarus plan to focus their main
efforts on promoting a consolidating and creative agenda, emphasizing the
peaceful nature of our national priorities, and countering initiatives aimed at
undermining the national interests of our country. The Belarusian delegation
will also use the UN platform to promote issues of strengthening food security.
In addition, the Belarusian side plans to promote the priority areas of its
current chairmanship in the CSTO under the slogan “Through solidarity and
cooperation to peace and security” and help increase the recognition of the
organization in the UN.
