Parliamentary friendship groups of Belarus and Laos held their first meeting

Belarus and Laos are strengthening cooperation. An important communication channel is the interparliamentary one. Friendship groups have been formed in the current convocations. The first communication has already taken place, while online. The parties confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation within the framework of international organizations. The meeting participants also highlighted areas that need to be given special attention. A visa-free regime will soon come into effect between the countries, which will serve to strengthen ties. Belarus considers Laos as an entry point to the entire Southeast Asian region.
