Parliamentary delegation on a visit to South Africa
A delegation of the National Assembly headed by Speaker of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko is visiting South Africa to take part in the fourth plenary session of the sixth convocation of the Pan-African Parliament. For the first time in history, the Belarusian parliament has been given the opportunity to speak at the official opening ceremony of the PAP session. It is also planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation, according to which the Belarusian Parliament will be granted observer status with this organisation. The programme of the visit also includes a number of bilateral meetings. Africa is one of the priority foreign economic vectors for Belarus. At present, the task is to fully develop trade and economic relations with African countries.
